GE Capital Delivers Boeing 737-800 to NewGen Airways

Press Release: GE announced delivery of a leased Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its new Thai airline customer NewGen Airways to expand the carrier’s fleet.

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of GE, today announced delivery of a leased Boeing 737-800 aircraft to its new Thai airline customer NewGen Airways to expand the carrier’s fleet.

A second leased 737-800 aircraft is also scheduled for delivery later this month. Both aircraft feature split scimitar winglets which reduce fuel burn by up to 2.3 percent on longer-haul routes compared to blended winglets.

NewGen Airways, based in Bangkok, currently operates scheduled and charter services to destinations in China with a fleet of six aircraft.
