An air strike carried out by a flight of US Air Force F-16s has killed al-Qaida in Iraq terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi on June 7, 2006. al-Zarqawi was conducting a meeting at a so-called safe house in Baqouba, Iraq when the two 500 pound bombs struck the building.
