Military Videos E-2C Hawkeye Arresting Cable Wire Break Video Almost Plane Crash Video!

Military Videos - E-2C Hawkeye Arresting Cable Break! This is an incredible military video with real footage of a heroic save in the face of near disaster. A US Navy E-2C Hawkeye AWACS aircraft from the Screwtops of Airborne Early Warning VAW 123 was landing on the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower CVN 69 when the arresting cable or wire snapped just as the plane was about to stop. The extraordinary flying skills of the pilots aboard saved the plane and all inside as the heart stopping footage in this video shows, and you must see, they just barely fly to safety. #GONAVY!

The pilots were awarded the Armed Forces’ Air Medal for their actions on that day in March 2016.
