Russian Tupolev Tu-154 Airliner Crashes in Ukraine
The Soviet-era Tupolev Tu-154 airliner is said by Russian Emergencies Ministry to have had 170 people on board: 160 passengers and 10 flight crew.
The accident aircraft was Pulkovo Airlines flight 612 which departed the Black Sea resort Anapa for St. Petersburg. Reports indicate the pilot declared an emergency and shortly thereafter controllers lost contact. The crash site was located in eastern Ukraine near Donetsk. No survivors have been located.
