Vertical Aerospace, a UK-based company developing electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, has confirmed that its VX4 was involved in an accident during a flight test at Cotswold Airport on August 9, 2023. The aircraft was remotely piloted (unoccupied) and there were no injuries, according to the company.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has issued an Airworthiness Directive (AD) covering the Boeing 737 MAX, advising airlines to limit the use of engine anti-ice in dry air conditions. The FAA said that using the system for more than five minutes, “can result in engine inlet cowl temperatures exceeding design limits when not in visible moisture.”

Boeing’s Starliner spacecraft, which is designed to carry NASA astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS), has faced another delay in its first crewed flight test.
