The Boeing Company says the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved additional extended operations (ETOPS) for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on 28 May 2014. The action will permit 787s to be operated up to 330 minutes from a landing field, according to the manufacturer.

Amazon Prime Air Drone Tests Dodge FAA Regulations: Amazon has unveiled a drone or UAV/UAS-based rapid local delivery system using what appears to be a radio controlled (RC) multicopter in an octocopter configuration. A Eurocopter EC-135 T2 police helicopter has crashed into a crowded pub called the Clutha, in Glasgow, Scotland. The accident is reported to have occurred at 10:25 pm, local time, 29 November 2013, in an area described as Stockwell Street located on the banks of the River Clyde.

Asiana Airlines Flight 214, a Boeing 777, has been involved in a plane crash at San Francisco International Airport. Published reports indicate the aircraft crashed and caught fire after touchdown. Apparently the plane was on a flight from Seoul, South Korea. (Updated)
